About Our Administrators

Mrs. Michele Krantz, Principal

A woman with long brown hair smiles warmly at the camera, wearing a white shirt and a navy blue blazer.

Mrs. Krantz is so happy to be the Pico Canyon Principal. After spending 24 years in the Hart District, where she was a teacher, assistant principal, director, and principal, she decided to make a move to the elementary level to have a greater impact on literacy, supporting parents, and giving students a strong foundation needed for their ongoing success. Her daughters attended Pico and she was the principal of Rancho Pico, where our students go next, for five years. Before being an educator, Mrs. Krantz was a recording engineer and performer in the music industry. You can hear her sing on the children's album Animaloopidy. Mrs. Krantz loves connecting with students and families and is honored to work with our world-class staff of educators.

Mrs. Brianna Nichols, Assistant Principal

White woman with blonde hair, wearing a pink and white checkered top.

Mrs. Nichols is excited to join Pico Canyon Elementary this year and looks forward to becoming an active part of the school community. She joins us from the Saugus Union School District, where she spent ten years teaching at the elementary level and four years serving as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) specializing in academic intervention and writing instruction. Mrs. Nichols holds a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Northridge, a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University, and an Administrative Credential from National University. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, crafting, decorating and spending time with her family. Mrs. Nichols is passionate about community outreach and believes in building strong, supportive relationships with staff, families, and students. She is eager to help create a positive learning environment where every student can thrive.
