Mrs. Michele Krantz, Principal

Principal Michele Krantz

Mrs. Krantz is proud to serve as the principal of Pico Canyon Elementary School. She brings nearly three decades of experience in education, having previously served in the Hart District as a teacher, assistant principal, director, and principal. She spent 14 years as a middle school principal before transitioning to the elementary level to focus on building strong foundations in literacy, supporting families, and ensuring students are set up for long-term success.

Mrs. Krantz also teaches in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies department at California State University, Northridge, and serves as an ACSA Administrative Credential Coach, supporting and mentoring future school leaders.

She has a special connection to the Pico Canyon community, as her daughters attended the school, and she previously served as principal of Rancho Pico Junior High, where many Pico students continue their educational journey.

Before becoming an educator, Mrs. Krantz worked as a recording engineer and performer in the music industry, and her voice can be heard on the children’s album Animaloopidy. She loves connecting with students and families and feels honored to work alongside Pico Canyon’s dedicated and talented staff.
