I hope you and your children had a wonderful Spring Break. We look forward to seeing our Huskies back at school tomorrow morning.
As we move into the final trimester, it can be tempting to start counting down the days until summer break. As we focus on finishing strong, our April Capturing Kids’ Hearts theme, let’s also remember to make every day count.
Spring is a time of growth, and that is just as true in the classroom as it is in nature. Each school day is an opportunity for our students to learn something new, strengthen their skills, and build confidence as they prepare for the next grade level. Even as the year winds down, learning and progress continue.
Consistent attendance and active participation make a meaningful difference. When students are present, engaged, and giving their best effort, they are not only keeping up with their learning, but also developing strong habits that will support their future success.
Families can support this effort by encouraging daily attendance, maintaining routines at home, and taking time to talk with their child about what they are learning each day. These small actions truly make a big impact.
Let’s continue working together to help every student finish the year strong. Each day is a chance to grow, and every moment matters.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Pico Canyon.
Sincerely,
Michele Krantz
Principal

Please click the link below for more detailed information and to submit your candidate statement. To be included on the ballot, submissions must be completed by Friday, April 24, 2026. Voting will take place in person during our Open House on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
We will be taking Spring Photos on Tuesday and Wednesday this week!
Grades TK, 4, 5, and 6 will be on Tuesday, April 14.
Grades K, 1, 2, and 3 will be on Wednesday, April 15.
Order forms went home last week. You can also order online by clicking here.
You will have a chance to order once your proofs are delivered as well. All students are photographed, even if they do not have an order form submitted.
We do not have a make-up day for spring photos.
What to expect on picture day
When an order is placed online, the parent/guardian will receive a camera pass via email. This can either be printed or texted to the student and brought to picture day. The photographer will photograph the printed camera pass along with the student.
If a student is not able to print their camera pass, that is not a problem. We will match up the student to their order manually in the production process.
A parent may order from the flyer up until 24 hours after picture day. After 24 hours, the online ordering access may close. This will allow our imaging team to "Pull" all orders submitted and match them with the students photographed.
When pictures are returned to school, all students that purchased pictures will receive their prepaid package. Any student that was photographed but did not order a package, will receive a "Proof" (PX) of their picture that was taken on picture day.
All proof packages offer parents a second opportunity to order prints. All orders are subject to shipping and handling costs of up to $8.50 and will be shipped directly to home.
